EXPERIENCE

128 EXPERIENCE 'Experience' is undergone with our bodies, hearts and minds; it is thus 'real' compared to 'ideas'. 'Ideas' are artificial, unreal, of doubtful accountability because they are pegged to our minds, not our hearts-bodies-minds. Thus experience is seen as morally more worthy than intellectual. Very American, very Deweyian, very wrong.
