Thomas, (regarding answer 2/20): The museum context of the two works you mention brackets and colours whatever significations are operative in the work itself. This is presumably the point of these works. Kosuth's literal negation merely reiterates the action of the gallery walls themselves to qualify or suspend the meaning of the text as a lexical unit. Doesn't the gallery context always reassert "the dominance of the poetic-communicative relation"?
